As we all know coal blocking a common phenomenon among all coal silos, which is dangerous for the operator if not deal with it well, that is why when the owners select the steel silo for bulk coal, they will pay more attention to the anti-blocking measures.
I. Coal silo anti-blocking measures
1. Control the coal storage level, ensure the coal stored in steel silo not more than required time.
2. Maintenance operator do daily maintanence for the coal feeder and ensure the coal feeder in good working condition, in order to prevent the coal bunker from blocking due to a fault in the coal feeder.
3. Operator who is in cahrge of the belt shall pay more attention to the perforaled strainer and ensure there is no iron,wood or big coal block left, as which will cause the blocking.
II. How to deal with coal blocking
1. When coal silo is working smoothly, blockage appears, first action is stopping coal feeding, and then check the whole link and find reason.
2. Check seriously the safety of coal silo working site, and then eliminate the unsafe factors before proceeding.
3. Before dealing with the coal silo blocking, the coal feeder shall be cut down and locked to prevent starting up.
4. Before handling the coal blocking of steel silo, the operaotr on site shall get clear the situation and give related measure based on situation. There are the following situations when dealing with blocking silo. (1) When the coal is normally unloaded, the coal quality is good, and due to the large coal block or individual large pieces of vermiculite, debris, etc., the lower shrinkage is blocked. (2) As the coal is wet, casuing the blocking at the coal outlet hole.
5. The following checks must also be made on the equipment before handling blockage:
(1). The coal feeder frame is firm and there is no welding distortion.
(2). Dosing bucket should be flexible and the platform railing is complete and firm.
(3). The discharge port should be free from damage, no leakage of coal or plugging.
