Steel silo is divided into bolted steel silo, spiral steel silo, welding steel silo, most of us is confused to their difference, following is the introduction of the difference of three steel silos:
1. Bolted steel silo is connected by the bolt with many steel sheet, this silo capacity is available 3000ton, 2000ton, or more small capacity bulk grain storage. However, this steel silo has it’s outstanding advantages: good ventilation , simple structure, short installation time, low cost. If you store grain, it is your better choice.
2. Spiral Steel Silos:
Construction: Spiral silos are formed by continuously coiling specially formed steel sheets into a cylindrical shape. These sheets are then fastened together using specialized techniques.
Thickness: The specific construction method limits the thickness of the steel sheet used in spiral silos compared to other types.
Applications: Due to their good air-tightness, spiral silos excel at storing powdery materials like cement, fly ash, soda powder, and even some grains, although ventilation needs for grains should be considered.
3. Welded Steel Silos:
Fabrication: Welded silos are constructed by welding steel plates together to create a solid, airtight structure. This process requires more expertise and time compared to bolted or spiral options.
Capacity: Welded silos are known for their ability to handle large capacities, making them ideal for large-scale storage requirements.
