How to select steel silo

Firstly, selecting material of spiral silo: generally we select the common type steel and ensure the thickness of steel not exceed load of installing machine. About the silo wall, we generally select galvanized steel plate to meet requirement of  anti-corrosion, so the galvanized layer become the main requirement of steel silo, which decide affect the galvanized steel silo lifespan.

Secondly, selecting silo type: At present, the popular silo type including Lipp silo and bolted silo. The lipp silo means spiral silo, which steel silo has such advantages: coiling and biting the hot galvanized steel plate to form shape, good air-tightness, good ventilation,  big capacity, etc. The bolted silo also has it’s advantages: easy to replace the auxiliary part, easy to transport, etc.

Thirdly, silo bottom selecting:From silo bottom view, silo is divided into flat bottom silo and hopper bottom silo.Flat bottom silo is suitable big diameter silo, and is equipped with cleaning machine, easy to install and low cost. Hopper bottom silo is more used for grain silo to discharge grain, and the hopper is divided into all steel hopper, half-steel hopper, concrete type hopper.
